Sorin runs Sorin Electronics, a component-level laptop and motherboard repair lab in Grays, Essex, and teaches board-level repair in public as Electronics Repair School on YouTube. He has spent 15+ years in micro-electronics. Repairs booked through this site are done by him personally, not handed to junior technicians.
The work is board-level. Rather than swap a whole motherboard, he finds the component that actually failed and replaces that — and it is the same process the channel has been filming, unedited, since February 2017.

Most of the work is diagnosis on boards other shops have already written off. The recurring jobs:
Windows laptops, workstations and gaming machines, including HP, ASUS, Lenovo Legion, Razer and Alienware. He deliberately does not take MacBooks. Staying on PC hardware keeps the parts stock, the schematics and the board-view files pointed at the boards he actually works on, which is why the turnaround and the success rate hold up.
The lab in Grays is ESD-safe and set up specifically for component-level work — the same gear that appears in the videos.
Sorin has published repair diagnostics on YouTube as Electronics Repair School since 19 February 2017. The channel now holds 1,510 videos, 490,000 subscribers and more than 73 million views. The videos are full-length fault-finding on real boards — measurements, dead ends and mistakes left in — and many of them are mail-in jobs that came through this lab.
